Brownwood is a manufacturer of both single-source custom wood components as well as ready to ship stock pieces that needed a complete digital overhaul from design to development. We worked to freshen up the brand and develop a website with new features and functions that helped customers as well as administrators better manage their time.
Integrating an ecommerce site with a made to specification site all under one brand umbrella.
Unique brand colors, photography and illustration attached to each business line that help to drive consumers to where they need to be.
A landing page flow that leads customers to either a minimally designed ecommerce site designed for conversion, or a visually explicative custom product site that captures attention.
Brownwood’s website included two different brands under one roof: Designs of Distinction and Made to Spec Because of this clear distinction we worked to design and develop to completely unique styles within the brand that had unifying factors throughout.

Utilizing videography and click-to resources we helped to navigate the customers through what they were actually getting when ordering ‘made to spec’.
The shop page UX / UI included easy to navigate products with further refinement available to the right and left of the main product grid.
A custom illustration was created for each and every custom part that Brownwood offered. This helped to provide a visually appealing pop to something that was typically just text on a form. We were later able to utilize these illustrations throughout the custom ordering process.
Pairing a specific style of photography with the site layouts was key in order to showcase what individual products could and have been turned into. Almost every product page was accompanied by relevant, real-life examples to help call out products in their finished states.
The end result was a striking new UX / UI that modernized a 90 year old company and allowed them to better attract customers digitally in both their stock and made to order business lines.
