The Benefit of Having Real Photography on Your Site Rather than Stock Photography

The two most important aspects of a website arguably are branding and design, and they both go hand in hand. Without each other, you will not have as strong as an internet presence as well as you will have less of a chance that your potential clients will stay on your website. You want your website to make a statement and you want it to immediately entice your target client to read further. One of the most striking ways of doing this is through the strategic use of photography. There are two ways of acquiring photos for your site. A common way to do it is to use stock photography. There are many websites out there that have an archive of images and you can pick and choose the ones that you think will fit your company’s vision best.

They will be able to take note of the atmosphere that your employees get to work in every day. There won’t be any cheesy actors shaking hands or awkward images of people laughing; they will actual photos of actual people doing what they do and interacting with people they actually know.

Your brand is another thing that separates you from your competitors and what makes your business stand out from everyone else. Branding is your unique fingerprint for your company that matches your style and touches on your personality. The photography on your site is part of your branding and often goes unnoticed when the topic of branding gets brought up. You are going to want images that have the same feel and character as the rest of your site. If everything is rustic and have muted tones, then your photography should have a similar style to them. If everything on your site is bright and energetic, then all of your images should be well lit, as well as have a bit of movement or feeling to them.
